So on Saturday my guild attemted to get through Naxxramas10. We had guild sign ups but the guy who organised it didn’t show. We had 7 guild members and had to pug the rest. I should point out that we’ve all cleared Naxx on numerous occasions but on this night, we made it through 3 wings before calling it. I was on my Druid, naturally and it was my first time in Naxx as melee. Heigan scares the robes off me as a caster and as melee? Well lets just say I made it through one dance phase and leave at that. Our pugs were interesting. We got in a Mage who had all 71 talent points in Frost, when he needed to repair after Heigan he hearthstoned back to the Argent Tournament grounds because he couldn’t see the repair guy at Wintergarde Keep. O.o When he came back he ran through the (cleared) Construct wing before declaring himself lost. Of course he has done Naxx several times before, or so he said, so I asked him why run through an empty wing and surely you know that Heigan is the Plague wing? I got no response, hehee. We called it after clearing the rest of the wing. Loots were all leather spell power gear and plate. Atleast I have a few things if I want to start a Boomkin spec, so that’s good.

I had a lucky day yesterday. I do the Brunnhildar Polar Bear daily everday and yesterday, only a week after getting to 80, I got the bear! A friend of mine has been trying for months and no bear, he’s only 7 mounts away from the 100 mount achievement. We duoed the Headless Horseman last night to try for the mount. That was interesting, he healed and I beared up and tanked/dpsed. Took 10 minutes I think for one try! We often farm mounts together. I used to go on my Paladin to heal him while he tanked. I have the Zul’Gurub tiger on my mage and he has the raptor, we got them within 2 raid lockouts. Between us we have 3 Orbs of the Sin’Dorei and 2 White Hawkstriders. My boyfriend came along with us for one Magister’s Terrace run and amazingly, he got the mount. I need to start mount farming again for my Druid. We have some good luck, me and my friend (who also has Aznu’s mount).

So now that I’m 80 and getting ready to do some lower raids, I need certain shoulder enchants. From a certain group of frost giants known as the Sons of Hodir. I’m not gonna lie here, I lovelovelove the prequests to these dailies. I love hanging out with Thorim and the blue ladies of Brunnhildar Village. The quests are so much fun, full of lore and bear riding. The only part I hate is The Drakkensryd. Falling off one of those drakes is no fun, unless you’re a Druid and pop Flight Form! Hah! Current Hodir progess: 2775/12000 (Honoured).

Aswell as the Hodir quests, there’s also the Argent Tournament quests. I absoloutely hated these quests when it first came out. I used to get my boyfriend to pew pew the jousters for me while I ran around on the horse. Since the 5 man Trial of the Champion instance I’ve become quite good at jousting and can manage it on my own now, so the dailies are cake for me. I’ve only just started them on my Druid and I’m just starting on the proper dailies, looking forward to being Finche of Darnassus and getting a Teldrassil Sproutling. Shame I have no intentions of ever going Resto, or I could be a tree with a baby tree hehe!

I want to go back and do the dailies over on the Isle of Quel’Danas. Just for fun and nostalgia. I loved those quests and did them religiously on my Mage. I think I was the first in my guild to hit Exalted and also get the “…of the Shattered Sun” title. I still wear the tabard on my Mage. Magister’s Terrace was such a fun instance to do at 70, I remember it being very hard for us when it first opened. We wiped repeatedly on Vexallus and needing to time it right so I had my Cold Snap and Ice Block off cooldown. I’ve only done Sunwell Plateau once sadly and that was at 80. Such an amazing raid instance, so well done.

I levelled up my Druid, Finche very quickly. I used TourGuide and Light Headed and had a blast. I started levelling again after the Druid forms were updated and mounts were available at level 20. I forget the patch number, fail. With the Bind on Account items levelling is so much easier. I was 60 in no time and then as quickly as you can say Flight Form!, I was level 70 and happily exploring Northrend again. I can honestly say that after levelling 2 classes, Mage and Paladin, I have never had so much fun playing WoW as I have when playing my Druid. I always knew I wanted to play as a kitty, I don’t like tanking and I wasn’t too keen on becoming a huge overgrown chicken. I love my Druid girl, I didn’t have much love for Night Elves to begin with but now, I love her. I love the animations, her facial expressions, her hair, just the way she looks in general. At first I would hide in cat form when I reached 80 because my gear was so mismatched, the only part I liked were my Boots of the Neverending Path, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44297. I love the way these boots look and Argent Crusade rep was the first I went for. I started to get some heroic runs and finally had enough for the Tier 8 chestpiece. I was disapointed to learn it was a robe as I loved the look of my boots too much, but I got over it and I know she has these kick ass boots on under her robe. I wasn’t looking forward to trying to get groups for VoA or Naxx, people seems to demand the achievement and 10k dps (an overexaggeration I know, but that’s what it feels like sometimes). I got lucky one day and got a VoA10. I did ok and came away with a Tier 7 Boomkin chest. I do the heroic daily everyday (except Occulus, bleh) for my Triumph bades and I’ve almost enough Conquests for the Tier 8 headpiece.

Today I got lucky. I got an invite to VoA25 without having to go through an interview. It was a great pug, no-one yelling at anyone for more dps, no-one got kicked for too little dps. I wasn’t the highest dps by any means but I did ok. PvP legs dropped from Koralon. I rolled and lost. Emalon however had my Tier 8 legs! I rolled and won. Cue lots of grinning and squeeing on my part. Archavon also had something for me, Tier 7.5 Boomkin legs! I felt like the luckiest little Druid. I just need to upgrade trinkets and my cloak now and I’ll be all set.

So, after playing World of Warcraft as a Mage since The Burning Crusade was released, I decided I wanted to try a Druid. I’d always wanted to play a Druid but I’d get to level 10 then I’d hate running around as a bear and go back to my Mage.

Little backstory here, since it’s my first post and all. I only started playing WoW because a friend of mine had been bugging me for ages to try it. He then actually bought me the game so I had no choice but to give it a try. I originally wanted to roll a Druid but my friend said he thought I’d enjoy a Mage more. He made me a little Gnome Mage, got me to level 10 and then it was up to me. This was just before Burning Crusade was out. I played off and on, got the little Gnome to level 22 and started seeing all these Draenei running around. I wanted one. So I bought myself the expansion, sat down and created Keyleigh. I’ve played her non-stop since then. I dabbled with alts of different races and classes but always went back to my Mage. I got her to 70 and ran Karazhan endless amounts of times til I had no need for anything from there. My guild is small, we didn’t have the numbers to do anything bigger. Myself and my boyfriend ended up joining a raiding community. We ran Tempest Keep, Serpentshrine Cavern with them until the attunement was lifted for Black Temple and Mount Hyjal. Then we focused on those. Once Wrath of the Lich King came out we moved on to Naxxaramas. I loved Naxx, I never got to see the old version so this was a first time for me. We had Naxx on farm months before Ulduar came out. I was starting to feel a little bored with my darling Mage but I kept on going because at this point I hadn’t moved in with my boyfriend, and playing WoW and raiding were the times we spent together. We trudged into Ulduar when it was released. It was all exciting and omg vehicle fights! We spent months in there, wiping endlessly on Thorim and never getting anywhere. Then the Argent Tournament was released. We moved to there and had a good go at it. By now I’d moved in with the boyfriend so didn’t need WoW to be with him. I made a post on the community forums that I was taking a raid break. I’ve never been more happier. I don’t get stressed out, I don’t find little things to pick at and get annoyed by.

So that’s up to now pretty much. Druidy stuff to follow.
